RideCharge Offers Taxi Fleets ‘More Fares, Better Fares, For Free’

At TLPA Convention in Denver

Oct 20, 2007 - Denver, Colo. – RideCharge, the leading provider of ground travel booking, cashless payment, and expense management will be exhibiting at the 89th Annual Taxicab, Limousine, & Paratransit Association (TLPA) Convention and Trade Show in Denver, Colorado.
The TLPA is a primary alliance of on-demand ground transportation providers, including most leading taxi cab operations from across the US and around the world. RideCharge works closely with leading TLPA members, including fleets in Los Angeles, Denver, Baltimore, and greater Washington DC.
During the three-day convention, RideCharge will be exhibiting its technology to operators from around the world, providing fleets who are not yet familiar with RideCharge’s groundbreaking software to learn about the technology and familiarize themselves with the process of taking part in the RideCharge provider network. Unlike many networks or software offerings of the past, there is no cost for taxi operators to participate in the RideCharge system. The RideCharge mission is to provide business travelers with easy and reliable access to taxi services worldwide.
“RideCharge presents a major opportunity for taxi operators,” Said Mark Joseph, President of Veolia Transportation and former TLPA President. “Business travelers are some of the most valuable customers for a taxi fleets—they take long trips to and from airports and give drivers above average tips. But, they are also some of the hardest travelers to market to—many are traveling from out-of-town and don’t know the local number to call. RideCharge brings travelers to the fleets at no cost, directly inserts reservations into the fleets’ dispatch systems, which reduces call taker costs, and provides the travelers with the fleet’s phone number for direct contact after the booking is made. Fleets connected to RideCharge get more fares, and better fares for free. And, the RideCharge technology improves the passenger’s experience; it’s a clear win for a fleet to link into the RideCharge system. Our Denver and Baltimore taxi operations are already accepting reservations from RideCharge.”
At the TLPA convention, RideCharge will be holding individual meetings with fleets that are starting the process of joining the RideCharge provider network. To schedule a meeting with members of the RideCharge team, please email George Arison at provider@ridecharge.com.
On Tuesday, October 8, RideCharge will host an invitation-only reception for TLPA operator attendees. During the reception, RideCharge will conduct a demo of its technology. This reception is co-hosted by former TLPA Presidents Mark Joseph, Neal Nichols, Lee Barnes, and current Board Member William Rouse. Those interested in attending the event are encouraged to RSVP by email.
About RideCharge
RideCharge offers the first Direct Connect Taxi booking and expense management engine at http://www.ridecharge.com/.
